Pre-file Investigations – Clients often come to use even before charges have been filed against them. Our job is to attempt to prevent the filing of charges when that is possible. Sometimes our efforts result in lesser charges being filed than the prosecutor originally intended to be filed, other times no charges are ever filed. At a minimum, a pre-file investigation allows us to begin work on your case early and rapidly. Getting the “jump start” may result in better results at the conclusion of your case. In any event, the fees that we charge for our pre-file investigation are always applied to any retainer fee that we charge if criminal charges have been filed against you.
